The South Central York County Senior Center is open and ready to welcome all our seniors. No reservation required for activities. We serve meals Monday through Friday, take-out or dine in with reservation. See our calendar for complete list of activities.
Our Mission Statement
The South Central York County Senior Center's primary mission is to establish and maintain a Senior Center by providing programs to facilitate the social, emotional, cultural, economic and physical well being of senior citizens regardless of race, religion or nationality.
Making A Difference
Educational, informative, social and recreational programs for any person in York County age sixty and over.
There are no membership fees. Located in the New Freedom Community Center, seniors join us five days a week and enjoy the camaraderie of friends and neighbors. "Why eat lunch alone, when you can join us for a nutritious meal and good laughs and conversation?"
We provide daily activities such as Tai-Chi, Yoga, line dancing, walking, watercolor classes, acrylic painting classes, billiards, health screenings, community projects, and much more.
We partner with the York County Area Agency on Aging to provide meals to our seniors. Our volunteers delivered 16,810 meals to the homebound in 13 municipalities in Southern Central York County in 2022. We also served 14,114 congregate meals in our facility.

Quilting
Our Senior members pay it forward.
Since the beginning, our Center has volunteered in making blankets for those in need. Our volunteers recently completed their 40,000th blanket. We make a difference.
Crafting
Get in touch with your creative side.
From nothing to something. Our crafters define the word creative. While enjoying the company of their peers, they use their awesome talents to create beautiful works of art.
Events
Together is a great place to be.
We host many monthly events such as Fundraisers, Trips, and Parties. Members enjoy spending quality time with their peers participating in fun filled activities.
